The Iranian news agency "Mizan," affiliated with the Iranian judiciary, reported today, Wednesday, that Iran's Deputy Foreign Minister for Economic Diplomacy stated that a Saudi trade delegation will soon visit Iran to attend a trade exhibition.
The Iran "Expo 2023" will take place from May 7 to May 10, focusing on Iranian export capabilities and sponsored by the Iranian Trade Promotion Organization and the Ministry of Commerce, Industry, and Mines.
The foreign ministry official mentioned that "in the coming days, a trade delegation from Saudi Arabia will arrive in Iran accompanied by a deputy minister to attend Iran Expo."
Since 2016 until March of this year, Iran and Saudi Arabia cut diplomatic relations and kept bilateral trade to a minimum. The two countries, major oil producers, agreed to end their dispute and reopen diplomatic missions as part of a deal brokered by China in March.
