Death of 19 African Migrants After Their Boat Sank Off Tunisia

A Tunisian security official announced that the coast guard retrieved 10 bodies from the migrants' boat that sank last night near the shores of Tunisia. A human rights organization reported today, Sunday, that at least 19 migrants from sub-Saharan African countries drowned when their boat sank off Tunisia while attempting to cross the Mediterranean Sea to Italy, marking the latest disaster involving a migrants' boat off Tunisia. Over the past four days, five migrants' boats have sunk off the southern city of Sfax, resulting in nine deaths and 67 missing, following a significant increase in the number of boats heading towards Italy.
