Russia: No Near Settlement in Ukraine

After Ukrainian National Security and Defense Council Secretary Alexey Danilov announced that Ukraine had received offers for a settlement of the Ukrainian crisis based on a Korean-style resolution, Acting Russian Representative to the European Union Kirill Logvinov denied the statements of Ukrainian officials regarding an alleged discussion between Moscow and Brussels for settling the conflict in Ukraine "in the Korean format." He added in a statement to the newspaper "Izvestia" that there are no contacts between representatives of Russia and the European Union concerning a Ukrainian settlement, and not only in the context of the Korean format but there are no negotiations for a settlement at all.
