Serbian Army on High Alert Following Tensions in Kosovo

Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić has put the army on high alert due to tensions in Kosovo, according to "Agence France-Presse." Serbian Defense Minister Miloš Vučević stated: "The President of Serbia has ordered the Serbian army to be at the highest level of combat readiness, meaning prepared to use armed force." Serbian Chief of Staff General Milan Mojsilović announced on Sunday that the President had instructed him to head to the border area with Kosovo. General Mojsilović told "Pink" television while en route to Raška, located 10 kilometers from the Kosovo border: "The situation there is difficult and complex, and the tasks assigned to the Serbian army are precise and clear and will be fully executed." The Chief of Staff emphasized the necessity for the "Serbian army to be present along the administrative line," a term used by Serbian authorities to refer to the border with Kosovo.
