Washington Concerned About Settlers' Return to the West Bank

The U.S. State Department expressed significant concern on Sunday regarding a decision made by the Israeli government that allows Jewish settlers to establish a permanent presence in the Homesh settlement, located in the northern West Bank. Matthew Miller, the department's spokesperson, stated in a press release that "the move is inconsistent with Israel's commitments to the U.S. administration, and increasing settlement activity in the West Bank represents an obstacle to achieving a two-state solution."
