Denmark Collapses Against Kazakhstan

Kazakhstan defeated visiting Denmark 3-2 in Group 8 of the Euro 2024 football qualifiers. Baktiyor Zainuddinov narrowed the gap with a penalty after a foul by Jonas Wind in the 73rd minute, reviving Kazakhstan's hopes. However, Denmark appeared to be able to hold on. Askhat Tagybergen equalized with a long-range shot in the 86th minute, and striker Abat Aimbetov completed the stunning comeback for the team ranked 115th in the FIFA rankings with a header just one minute before the end. Aimbetov was sent off in the sixth minute of stoppage time for his second yellow card after fouling a Danish player.
