Syrian Foreign Minister Visits Cairo

Syrian Foreign and Expatriates Minister Faisal Mekdad is visiting Egypt, accompanied by a delegation from the ministry. An official source in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates stated in a statement to "SANA" today that during this visit, which is based on an invitation from the Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt, Sameh Shoukry, talks will take place regarding enhancing bilateral relations between the two countries and discussing the latest developments in the region and the world. Egyptian Foreign Minister Sameh Shoukry had visited Damascus on February 27, during which he conveyed to President Bashar al-Assad a message from President Abdel Fattah el-Sisi, emphasizing Egypt's solidarity with Syria and pride in the historical relations between the two countries, as well as Cairo's commitment to strengthening and developing these relations and mutual cooperation.
