Turkish authorities arrested "Oktay Yaşar," the owner of the Twitter account "Ankara Bird" (ANKARA KUŞU), for promoting a video linked to presidential candidate Muharrem İnce, which led to İnce's withdrawal from the presidential elections. Yaşar was located following intensive search and monitoring operations launched by police in the capital, Ankara. According to "Turkey Now," Turkish authorities uncovered 13 accounts that shared provocative tweets and false news against Muharrem İnce. It was revealed that the fake images and videos attributed to İnce were taken from foreign websites and manipulated through various applications and programs online. The "Ankara Bird" account is considered one of the most racist accounts against Syrian refugees in Turkey.
