Governor of Bryansk: Ukraine Shelled a Village on the Border with Belarus

Ukrainian forces shelled a village in the region bordering Ukraine early on Tuesday, following an explosion that derailed a freight train there the day before.

The Governor of the Bryansk region in Russia, Alexander Bogomaz, wrote on Telegram: "This morning, the Ukrainian armed forces shelled the village of Korkovitshi in the Starodubsky district. No casualties were reported."

He added, "The shelling caused a fire in one of the houses. All emergency services are on site."

Ukraine has not previously claimed responsibility for any attacks within Russia or on territories occupied by Russia in Ukraine. However, the Ukrainian military daily announces activities and movements of troops in combat areas.
