The Bosnian Football Association announced today, Friday, the departure of coach Faruk Hadžibegić from his position following two consecutive losses in the Euro 2024 qualifiers. The association stated: "Current coach of the Bosnia and Herzegovina national team Faruk Hadžibegić will not continue in his position in the future." The former Yugoslav player took over the role in January after a brief stint leading the team in 1999. Under Hadžibegić (65 years old), Bosnia lost three times in four matches, the latest being a 3-0 defeat against Portugal away last weekend, followed by a 2-0 loss at home to Luxembourg on Tuesday. Bosnia currently sits fourth in Group 10 of the Euro 2024 qualifiers with three losses in four matches.
