Taiwan's Foreign Ministry Removes Honduras Flag After Cutting Ties

According to witnesses cited by Reuters, the flag of Honduras was removed today, Sunday, from the Taiwanese Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the capital, Taipei. Taiwan displays the flags of its diplomatic allies inside the main entrance of the ministry. The removal of the flag comes after Honduras decided to cut diplomatic relations with Taiwan. In contrast, China's Xinhua News Agency reported that "China and Honduras established diplomatic relations today, Sunday." The two countries agreed to develop relations based on mutual respect for sovereignty and territorial integrity.
