Sergey Dankort, head of the Russian Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance Service, welcomed Iranian companies' more active participation in the Russian dairy and fish products market. He stated, "Russia has already issued permits for Iranian companies to enter this large market." Dankort announced on Monday evening during a meeting with the head of the Iranian Veterinary Organization, who is in Moscow on an official visit, that he is ready "to conduct training courses to familiarize the parties with health monitoring and meat and dairy product regulations."
The two sides discussed ways to enhance cooperation between the two countries in the areas of livestock, fisheries, and dairy. Last year, Iranian companies exporting aquatic products received permission to enter the Russian market for the first time, and the number of licensed Iranian dairy exporting companies has increased.
