Lebanese Honey Back in European Union Markets

The Director General of the Ministry of Agriculture, Louis Lahoud, announced that Lebanese honey has been re-exported to European Union markets after more than ten years of prohibition. He stated, "After diligent follow-up by the Ministry of Agriculture with the European side since 2019, Lebanon has been reinstated among the countries allowed to export honey to European Union countries." He pointed out that despite all the accumulated crises, "Lebanon succeeded in introducing the first shipment of natural Lebanese honey from Mount Sheikh products to European markets, confirming that the Lebanese product meets the highest global and international standards and specifications."
