Turkey Takes Over Presidency of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation

The Turkish Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced today, Tuesday, that Ankara has assumed the presidency of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BSEC) from the Republic of Serbia. It is noteworthy that the Black Sea Economic Cooperation was established in 1992 at the suggestion of Turkey and currently includes 13 countries in the region, including Russia, Azerbaijan, and Ukraine. The organization aims to enhance economic and cultural cooperation, as well as to promote trade and investment, and develop transportation, communications, and technology in the region.
