Jordan Shoots Down Drone Carrying Drugs from Syria

The Jordanian news agency "Petra" reported today, Sunday, that "the Jordanian army shot down a drone loaded with crystal meth coming to Jordan from Syria." The agency quoted a source within the Jordanian armed forces stating that "the drone was controlled and brought down." Western officials in drug enforcement and the United States assert that "war-torn Syria has become a hub for the drug trade, estimated to be worth billions of dollars, while Jordan has become the main transit route for transporting amphetamine pills manufactured in Syria, known as Captagon pills, to Gulf countries."
