The Russian media agency reported today that President Vladimir Putin signed a decree to suspend double taxation agreements between Russia and "unfriendly" countries that have imposed sanctions on Moscow. The Russian ministries of finance and foreign affairs had proposed this measure in March. Western countries have imposed numerous economic sanctions on Russia in response to its invasion of Ukraine in February of last year, which Moscow refers to as a "special military operation."
