U.S. Stocks Open Lower

Major indices on Wall Street opened lower on Wednesday after the White House and congressional Republicans once again failed to reach an agreement to raise the public debt ceiling, leaving investors in a state of concern.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average fell by 33.75 points or 0.10% to 33,021.76 points.

The S&P 500 index decreased by 12.62 points or 0.30% to 4,132.96 points.

The Nasdaq Composite dropped by 78.35 points or 0.62% to 12,481.90 points.
