Britain Condemns Attempts to Undermine Democracy in Niger

Britain condemned attempts to undermine democracy, peace, and stability in Niger yesterday, Sunday. A statement from the government indicated that Britain supports the efforts made by the Economic Community of West African States (ECOWAS) to restore stability in Niger. The statement noted that "the United Kingdom is a committed partner to the democratically elected government of Niger and calls for the immediate reinstatement of President Mohamed Bazoum to restore constitutional order."
