Spanish radio station "RAC 1" has revealed a new crisis within the Spanish Football Federation, following the disclosure of the salary of Luis Rubiales, the federation president. It highlighted that the salaries of Rubiales, General Secretary Andreu Camps, Sports Director José Francisco Molina, and the national team coaches: Julen Lopetegui, Luis Enrique, and Robert Moreno, saw an increase in 2018 from €1.8 million to over €7 million during that period.

Details on how these salaries are divided have not been disclosed, but the wages of these individuals rose by 80%, 30%, and 61%, then fell by 25%. The radio reported that an investigation into this matter is expected to take place soon to uncover the reasons behind these unjustified increases. Rubiales, who is 45 years old, faced significant criticism during the award ceremony for the Spanish women's team players when he controversially kissed Barcelona player Jennifer Hermoso.
