The President of the Asian Football Confederation, Sheikh Salman bin Ibrahim Al Khalifa, will arrive in Beirut tomorrow, Saturday, accompanied by the President of the Lebanese Football Association, Engineer Hashim Haidar, coming from Doha after participating in the draw ceremony for the final tournament of the Asian Cup, which will be hosted by Qatar at the beginning of next year. Sheikh Salman's visit to Beirut holds notable importance, especially as it is the first since the repercussions of the COVID-19 pandemic. It will also be an opportunity for him to get firsthand insight into the state of Lebanese football, which he and the "continental" federation have significantly supported during the challenges faced by the sport globally. It is noteworthy that the President of the AFC will go directly from Lebanon to Damascus for a field visit and to meet with officials in Syrian football.
