The Egyptian international player Mohamed Salah, who plays for Liverpool FC, broke his silence over the past few days and commented for the first time on what is happening in Gaza. He faced severe criticism on social media platforms for not making any comment about the situation in Gaza.
In a video on his official social media accounts, he said: "It is never easy to make statements in such difficult times." He added, "We have witnessed severe violence and brutal savagery in recent days that breaks the hearts. The escalating violence has become unbearable for weeks. All lives are sacred and should be protected."
He continued: "The massacres must stop; families are being torn apart." He also stated: "Humanitarian aid to Gaza must be allowed immediately."
Salah mentioned, "The people of Gaza are going through dire situations; yesterday, we witnessed horrific scenes in hospitals." He went on: "The residents of Gaza need food, water, and medicine immediately." He concluded: "I urge all world leaders to unite to prevent further massacres of innocent people. Humanity must prevail."
