Iranian Delegation Withdraws from COP28 Conference

The Iranian delegation withdrew from the United Nations Climate Conference (COP28) taking place in Dubai today, Friday, in protest of the presence of representatives from Israel. The official news agency IRNA quoted Iranian Energy Minister Ali Akbar Mehrabian, head of the Iranian delegation, stating that “the Iranian side considers the presence of Israel at COP28 to be in contradiction with the goals of the conference, and in protest of that, left the venue of the conference.”
