An official source from the Security Directorate of Beheira and another from the Egyptian Ambulance Authority reported today, Friday, that six people, including three children, were killed in a collision between a freight train and a three-wheeled vehicle (tuk-tuk) in northern Egypt. The sources added that the incident also resulted in two injuries, who were transported to Beheira Hospital for necessary medical care. The sources explained to Reuters that the accident occurred when the tuk-tuk crossed the Abu Mataimir level crossing in Beheira at the wrong time, leading to a collision with the train that was heading to Alexandria.
