Belgian Prime Minister Alexander De Croo stated that his country is examining the possibility of supplying Ukraine with its F-16 fighter jets. Belgium is replacing its F-16s with F-35 jets, and the Ministry of Defense previously indicated that the F-16s are so old that Ukraine may not be able to use them in combat. However, De Croo noted that they could still be useful, for instance, in training pilots. De Croo told the Belgian VRT radio station yesterday, on the sidelines of the United Nations General Assembly in New York: "I have asked the Ministry of Defense to find out what possible uses our F-16s could have in Ukraine. We need to explore all options." Norway, Denmark, and the Netherlands have announced in recent months that they would supply Ukraine with F-16s once its air force is ready to use them.
