The governor of the Bryansk region in Russia, Alexander Bogomaz, announced today, Thursday, that civilians were killed and two others were injured in Ukrainian shelling on the village of Chosi located in the border area with Ukraine. Bogomaz stated that "the Ukrainian armed forces shelled the village of Chosi," saying, "Unfortunately, one person was killed, and two residents were injured due to the shelling." An administration appointed by Russia in the town of Nova Kakhovka, which is controlled by Russia in southern Ukraine, reported that one civilian was killed in a Ukrainian airstrike on a company and another was injured. Shelling of Russian territory along the Ukrainian border has repeatedly occurred in recent months amid Russia's war on Ukraine, which Moscow describes as a "special military operation."
