Profits of the Commercial Bank of Kuwait Double

The Commercial Bank of Kuwait announced today, Sunday, that it achieved profits of 44.115 million Kuwaiti Dinars (143.55 million USD) in the second quarter of 2023, compared to 21.72 million Dinars a year earlier, reflecting an increase of 103 percent. The results published by the bank on the Kuwait Stock Exchange indicated that its net half-year profit reached 69.191 million Dinars in the six months ending June 30, compared to 43.95 million Dinars in the same period a year earlier. The bank attributed the increase in its half-year profits to "an increase in revenues from interest and recoveries against provisions that had been established in previous periods, which partially offset the increase in operating expenses."
