Al Ahli Saudi Club announced on Friday that they have officially signed German coach Matthias Jaissle to take charge of the team starting from the new season. This move comes after Jaissle parted ways with his previous team, Red Bull Salzburg, earlier that day. The announcement of Jaissle's appointment followed hours after the club officially signed Algerian player Riyad Mahrez from Manchester City. It is noteworthy that Jaissle, 35, won the Austrian league twice and the Austrian Cup once with Salzburg since taking over the managerial role in 2021. He previously coached the RB Leipzig youth team from 2014 to 2017.
