Red Bull, the competitor in the Formula 1 World Championship, has cancelled Sergio Perez's media commitments for the Austrian Grand Prix today, after the Mexican driver informed the team of his illness. The team stated: "Perez fell ill last night, and we decided to rest him today to ensure he is in the best possible health for the race this weekend." Perez is the closest competitor to his teammate Max Verstappen for the title, but he trails the two-time world champion by a significant 69 points after eight races. The Mexican needs a strong performance at the Spielberg circuit, following his failure to qualify in the top ten or stand on the podium in the last three races.
