The German Research Center for Geosciences announced that an earthquake with a magnitude exceeding 6.8 struck the island of Mindanao in the Philippines on Sunday evening (in the early hours of Monday local time). The U.S. tsunami warning system reported that there is no tsunami threat following the earthquake.
