Leclerc to Start First in Las Vegas Grand Prix

Charles Leclerc, the Ferrari driver from Monaco, will start from pole position in the Las Vegas Grand Prix, the penultimate race of the Formula 1 World Championship season, after outpacing all his rivals in the official qualifying sessions at The Strip circuit on Saturday. Three-time world champion Max Verstappen, driving for Red Bull, will start alongside Leclerc from the front row, despite finishing third in the qualifying session behind Spanish driver Carlos Sainz from Ferrari. The race officials penalized Sainz by dropping him 10 places at the start due to repairs needed on his car after it collided with a drain cover during the free practice sessions on the new circuit.
