Trump: I Will Not End My Presidential Campaign Even If Convicted

Former U.S. President Donald Trump confirmed on Friday that he will not end his 2024 presidential campaign even if he is convicted and sentenced on multiple charges against him. Trump spoke in an interview on the "John Fredericks" radio show, a day after federal prosecutors expanded their investigation in the case against him regarding his handling of classified documents after leaving the presidency.

Additionally, Trump denied on Friday the accusations of mishandling security recordings requested by federal investigators, following the prosecution adding new charges against him for allegedly instructing his staff at his Florida resort to delete videos. Trump mentioned that he believed he was not required to turn over the security recordings from Mar-a-Lago but did so anyway, stating, "Those were security recordings. We handed them over."

Special Counsel Jack Smith presented three new criminal charges against Trump on Thursday, raising the total number of charges to 40. Carlos De Oliveira, a maintenance worker at Mar-a-Lago, was also charged with conspiring to obstruct justice and accused of assisting Trump in concealing documents.
