Israel Seals €3 Billion Defense Deal with Greece

The Israeli Ministry of Defense announced on Monday the signing of an agreement with Athens valued at approximately three billion euros to establish an air defense system for Greece, named "Shield of Achilles". The ministry stated that "under the agreement, Israel will build a comprehensive and multi-layered air defense system for Greece, fully reliant on Israeli-made systems and the extensive operational experience gained by the Israeli defense establishment during wartime". It further noted that the agreement represents "the largest defense export deal in the history of Israeli-Greek relations, and one of the largest deals in Israel's history".
