U.S. President Donald Trump has announced the targeting of Kharg Island, claiming that the Iranian island is undergoing destruction and turning into ruins.
He shared on "Truth Social" that Kharg Island is being destroyed, attaching an AI-generated video to his post on the social media platform.
The video depicted a scene resembling a fighter pilot peering through his window as missiles rained down on installations on the island, with a warship seen exploding and burning below.

Trump also shared another similar video via "Truth Social," where American strikes, in the virtual video, target and destroy structures within the island.
Trump stated, "The United States controls the Strait of Hormuz and has removed all mines with very limited assistance from other countries, despite Iran continuing to be a nuisance."
He further added, "Washington cannot continue to support countries that don't stand by it. We have spent billions of dollars to assist allies, including NATO countries and South Korea, despite their refusal to help when the U.S. requested it."
He continued, "Iran has become a failed state due to the blockade imposed on its ports and American financial pressures."
