Ukraine Regains the Village of Staromaiorsky in the Southeast

Ukrainian Deputy Minister of Defense Hanna Maliar announced the liberation of the village of Staromaiorsky, stating that "(the soldiers) defending us are now continuing to clear the settlement." A soldier in a video reported that "(the soldiers) in the 35th Brigade and the Aryi regional defense unit have completed their mission and liberated the village of Staromaiorsky. Glory to Ukraine!" Military analyst Oleksandr Kovalienko pointed out that Ukrainian forces now need to reach another village, Staromlynivka, which is located less than 5 kilometers away. He added in a conversation with RBC channel, "It truly serves as a stronghold for the Russian occupiers; it represents the peak of the second defensive line at this location." He stated, "Therefore, the operation makes perfect sense. You must first regain the village of Staromaiorsky, establish the flanks, and advance to the second line, where the main assault groups will engage in the breakthrough."
