Liverpool Announces Third Signing of the Summer

Liverpool FC has officially announced its agreement with German side Stuttgart to sign Japanese player Wataru Endo during the ongoing summer transfer window. According to the Reds' statement, the 30-year-old midfielder Endo has signed his contract to join Anfield after passing his medical examinations with the club. He previously had a contract with Stuttgart until June 2024.

Endo will occupy the number 6 position in the "Reds" lineup for the 2023-2024 season, replacing Brazilian player Fabinho, who transferred to Al-Ittihad in Saudi Arabia during this summer's transfer window.

English media reports revealed that Wataru Endo has signed a contract with Liverpool for 4 seasons, tying him to Anfield until 2027. The transfer fee for Endo to the English club is approximately 19 million euros, according to reports from the global network "Sky Sports" in recent hours.

Endo joined Stuttgart in 2020, participating in 133 matches and scoring 15 goals while providing 12 assists to his teammates. The Japanese player serves as the captain of the national team, having become an international player in 2015 and played 50 matches with the Samurai, scoring two goals.
