The United States announced today, Thursday, that there are "serious and widespread" concerns that the current draft of a United Nations Security Council resolution aimed at increasing aid to Gaza "could actually slow down" the delivery of assistance. U.S. Mission to the United Nations spokesperson Nate Evans stated, "The goal of this resolution is to facilitate an increase in humanitarian aid access to Gaza and to expand it, and we cannot look away from that goal," before a vote is expected today. He added, "We must ensure that any decision helps and does not harm the situation on the ground."
