The Asian Football Confederation made a decisive official decision today, Tuesday, ahead of the Al-Nassr first football team’s match against Iranian club Persepolis. Al-Nassr will visit Persepolis in Iran, following the cancellation of the neutral ground decision, on September 19, as part of the first round of group stage matches in the 2023-2024 AFC Champions League. According to sports journalist Dawood Ikdary, the Asian Confederation rejected the Iranian club's "appeal" to hold the match against Al-Nassr with fans in attendance. Ikdary revealed on his official account on the "X" platform that the continental football federation upheld the punishment imposed on Persepolis, barring its fans from attending the match against Al-Nassr.
