U.S. Secretary of State Antony Blinken met today, Wednesday, with new Turkish Foreign Minister Hakan Fidan for discussions on the NATO summit scheduled for next month, during which Sweden hopes to join the alliance. Blinken noted, "We will talk about the upcoming NATO summit, including Sweden's accession process," adding that defense cooperation, energy issues, and economic collaboration will also be on the agenda. Fidan stated, "The truth is that we may not completely agree on every issue, but our long-term alliance with NATO and other platforms obliges us to continue working together," indicating that he will discuss bilateral issues with his American counterpart.
