A draft statement published today, Sunday, suggests that Azerbaijan will host the United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP29) next year from November 11 to 22. The draft must be approved by the currently ongoing COP28 conference in Dubai before it becomes official, but it aligns with expectations after Azerbaijan received support from other Eastern European countries yesterday, Saturday. The text also proposed the dates for the thirtieth conference to be held in Brazil from November 10 to 21, 2025.
