The Iranian Revolutionary Guards' intelligence announced on Thursday that Iranian 'sovereignty' over the Strait of Hormuz continues, while revealing what it claims to be a plot by the Israeli intelligence agency 'Mossad' to establish a secret network aimed at exerting internal pressure on Iran.
In a statement addressed to Iranians, the Revolutionary Guards Intelligence claimed the country has maintained and even bolstered its resilience over approximately 200 days of confrontation, stating that the United States has failed to impose its will on Tehran.
The statement alleged that American intelligence assessments indicate Iran has successfully moved beyond a stage of existential threat, maintaining its asymmetric capabilities alongside unchallenged control over the Strait of Hormuz.
It added that Iran is no longer merely reacting to its adversaries' attacks but is actively seeking greater strategic initiative, aiming to influence the timing, location, and cost of confrontations and diplomacy.
The Guards Intelligence also claimed that meetings involving American, Israeli, and British intelligence agencies, alongside figures from the Iranian opposition, concluded that military operations to overthrow Iran's regime have failed.
According to the statement, Iran's adversaries are thus revising their strategies, retaining the option for limited and periodic attacks, and focusing more on creating tension, psychological warfare, exerting financial market pressure, and conducting internal security operations.
In a significant revelation, the Guards Intelligence noted it has recently detected a Mossad plan to establish a 'secret structure' within Iran to pressure the regime internally.
It alleged that the plan involves communicating with dissident factions, forming internal networks, and using local operatives for sabotage without providing public evidence or independently verifiable details for these accusations.
The statement claimed the current goal is to destabilize internally and diminish Iranians' resilience through what it described as information warfare, fear, uncertainty, and societal polarization.
Moreover, the Revolutionary Guards accused Iran's adversaries of attempting to undermine the Strait of Hormuz's significance to Iran's national security, enforcing a maritime blockade, weakening Tehran's regional allies, and exploiting economic and social crises to incite street protests.
In contrast, the statement discussed the constraints facing the United States in continuing the confrontation, citing challenges within the American military and security establishments, economic repercussions of conflict, and limitations of offensive and defensive capabilities.
The Guards Intelligence affirmed its forces and agencies remain on high alert, continuing to monitor military and security movements, and counter what they deem espionage networks and operations targeting domestic and border security.
The statement comes amid ongoing tensions surrounding the Strait of Hormuz, alongside Iranian and Omani diplomatic efforts to organize interim arrangements for safe navigation, including a proposal for a temporary maritime corridor and joint mine-clearing operations.
