Lebanon's Public Prosecutor to Investigate Alarming Cancer Drug Scandal

Sources have revealed that the Lebanese public prosecutor's office is expecting to receive a highly concerning health dossier from the Ministry of Health. The dossier is set to address a scandal involving the trade of counterfeit cancer medications in Lebanon. Specifically, Public Prosecutor Ahmed Rami Al-Hajj is examining the case of a Lebanese company importing cancer drugs. These drugs, originating from Iran and India, are alleged to be generic and suspected counterfeits, providing no real benefit to cancer patients.
Furthermore, the company reportedly amassed over $40 million in profits from these ineffective medications.
