The representative of the "National News Agency" reported that the Beirut prosecutorial body, consisting of Judge Miray Malak as the president and judges Mohammad Shahab and Fatima Majid, issued a decision to accept the appeal formally submitted by the head of the Litigation Authority at the Ministry of Justice, Judge Helena Iskandar. This decision revoked the ruling of the first investigating judge in Beirut, Charbel Abu Samra, which had released the accused, the former Governor of the Lebanese Central Bank, Riad Salama, and summoned him for an interrogation session next Wednesday, August 9. Judge Iskandar justified her request to detain Salama for reasons detailed in the appeal she filed on behalf of the Lebanese state.
