A Ukrainian source told Reuters today, Saturday, that "two drones hit a key oil processing facility at the Volgograd refinery in southern Russia, in an operation carried out by the Ukrainian Security Service." The source stated that "such drone attacks will continue." He added, "By striking oil refineries in the Russian military-industrial complex, we are not only disrupting the logistics of fuel supplies for enemy equipment but also reducing the funding for the Russian budget." Local authorities in Russia previously reported that "a fire at the large refinery was extinguished after a drone attack. The refinery is owned by Lukoil." This strike is the latest in a series of drone attacks carried out by Ukraine on Russian oil facilities in recent weeks, which Kyiv considers vital to the Russian war effort.
