Saudi-Syrian Agreement to Resume Trade Activities

Saudi Arabia and Syria have agreed to reopen the path for economic cooperation, resuming commercial and investment activities between the two sides. This includes enabling investors to access available investment opportunities in both the Kingdom and Syria, as well as organizing economic forums to improve the trade balance between the two countries, coinciding with Syria's opening up to its Arab neighbors.

The agreement was reached during a meeting between the Chairman of the Saudi Chambers Federation, Hassan bin Mujahed Al-Huwaizi, and the Chairman of the Syrian Chamber of Commerce Federation, Mohammed Abu Al-Huda Al-Laham, along with the accompanying delegation, on the sidelines of their participation in the Arab-Chinese Business Conference held in Riyadh.

Members of the Syrian delegation expressed appreciation for Saudi Arabia's positions toward Syria and its people, noting the significant developments taking place in the Kingdom and the desire of the Syrian business sector to enter the Saudi market and invest across various economic sectors.

Both sides emphasized the importance of exchanging visits by trade delegations, enabling investors to seize available investment opportunities in Saudi Arabia and Syria, and organizing economic forums to further advance economic cooperation between the two countries.
