Max Verstappen, the Red Bull driver and three-time world champion, extended his record with a 17th victory in the Formula 1 World Championship in Brazil on Sunday after leading the race from pole position, despite a race stoppage and subsequent restart. Lando Norris of McLaren finished in second place with an additional point for the fastest lap, while Fernando Alonso of Aston Martin took third place after an exciting battle at the end of the race with Sergio Perez of Red Bull. Verstappen, who has now achieved 52 career wins, clinched the title in Qatar last month, while Red Bull also retained the Constructors' Championship. The Red Bull team has won 19 out of 20 races so far.
