On the 78th anniversary of the establishment of the Syrian Army, President Bashar Assad addressed the members of the armed forces, stating that since the armed forces are a guarantee of security and a pillar of stability, "it is your duty to always remain fully prepared and ready, each in their position and workplace, amidst significant challenges on various levels, to help the nation rise again with you, the honorable ones, and with our steadfast and patriotic people who express their authenticity and belonging in every aspect of economic, social, and cultural life." He emphasized, "After the long and arduous years of war, we have the right to take pride in our resilience, which would not have been possible without the available factors for steadfastness, with our armed forces being the most prominent and noble example."
He added, "We have the right to be proud of our victory, written by your heroism, sacrifices, and the blood of our righteous martyrs and brave wounded, who sanctified the homeland after it was tarnished by the crimes and hatred of terrorism. From here, our valiant armed forces will always remain a subject of care and attention on all levels and directions to ensure the successful execution of assigned tasks in service to the nation and the guarantee of a bright future for its sons."
