UN Relief Chief: War Rules Are Clear, Bias Is Prohibited

UN Under-Secretary-General for Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator Martin Griffiths commented on the platform "X": "After 20 days, the intense shelling in Gaza continues and is worsening, even in areas that are supposed to be safer. Aid is barely flowing, despite our utmost efforts. The world itself is failing to meet the bare entitlements of a part of humanity. The rules of war are clear: civilians must be protected and provided with the essentials needed to survive, wherever they are and whether they choose to move or stay." He added, "Our humanitarian mission is also clear: we provide assistance to civilians in need, wherever they are, guided by the principles of humanity, impartiality, neutrality, and independence."
