Egyptian security forces are attempting to solve a case that has caused a significant uproar in the Damietta Governorate, where the body of the child, Mohamed al-Barbari, was found after his disappearance for nearly 8 years.
The incident began with the disappearance of Mohamed al-Barbari eight years ago after he went out to play and buy sweets in the area surrounding his family home. The family and authorities launched a search for him, filling the streets of Kafr al-Arab village with posters bearing the image of the missing child, but he was never found.
In a surprising development, a local worker at a house under construction discovered the clothes of a small child and a skeleton buried in the sand. The police station in Faraskour was notified, and a security team was dispatched to the site where the body was found, which was confirmed to be that of the missing child Mohamed al-Barbari.
Security agencies, led by Major Ahmed Moussa, are intensifying their efforts to identify the perpetrator and uncover the circumstances of the incident.
