Carlos Alcaraz, the second-ranked player in the world, is looking forward to a new matchup against Alexander Zverev at the Madrid Open tennis tournament, about a year after his victory over the latter in the final of last year's edition. Alcaraz stated, "I really want to play this match. We have met a few times, and he leads in head-to-head matches. I want to show my exceptional level here in front of the fans in my country. I have happy memories from last year's final, but clearly, I need to stay focused for this match."
He added: "I know Zverev is a great player, plays fiercely, and is excellent in serving. I need to showcase all my skills."
Alcaraz will play against Zverev, who is ranked 16th in the world, tomorrow, Tuesday, with the German player leading their head-to-head encounters 3-1.
