Unified Message from Moroccan National Team Players to Earthquake Victims

The players of the Moroccan national football team, along with the technical and administrative staff, have announced their initiative to financially donate to support the families of the victims and those injured by the devastating earthquake that struck the country last Friday. Team captain Romain Saïss and the other players published a unified message in three languages (Arabic, English, and French) on their social media accounts, confirming that they will donate all bonuses they receive for their participation with the national team in the upcoming period.

The message stated: "We, as players and technical staff of the Moroccan national team, will contribute all our match bonuses until the Africa Cup of Nations. Our hearts are with all the victims, and we promise more humanitarian initiatives. Our Morocco is one."

Additionally, the players of the "Atlas Lions" and their coach Walid Regragui donated blood last Saturday at one of the dedicated centers in Agadir, following the announcement of the postponement of the match between Morocco and Liberia in the last round of African Cup of Nations qualifiers due to the earthquake's repercussions.

The Africa Cup of Nations is scheduled to take place in Ivory Coast from January 13 to February 14, 2024. The Moroccan national team will face Burkina Faso tonight, Wednesday, in a friendly match in Lens, France.
